Rochdale East Community Mental Health Team

We provide assessment, treatment and care to people with severe and enduring mental health needs.

We can support you if you are between 18 to 65 years of age, unless your needs would be best met by the older adult community mental health team.

We can support anyone who is living in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale with a severe and enduring mental illness, such as schizophrenia, severe affective disorder, or a complex personality disorder.

Our team covers Rochdale east, we also have a team covering Rochdale west and a team covering Heywood and Middleton.

We offer an assessment which looks at your physical health, mental wellbeing, and social environment for up to 16 weeks. We can also offer longer-term support under the care programme approach, where you will be allocated a care coordinator.

Our community mental health teams are located with Rochdale adult social care. This means we can work together and provide support for both your health and social care needs, as set out by The Care Act 2014.

We aim to provide the highest quality care to support your recovery, which focuses on your strengths and helps you to live and an independent and fulfilling life.

If you are a carer for someone who is under the community mental health team, we can also offer you support.
