Living Life to the Full Course

Teaches a range of life skills that are based on a tried and trusted CBT-based approach. You’ll learn how to: understand why you feel as you do; choose activities that improve wellbeing; identify behaviours that make you feel worse; identify and combat negative thinking styles; boost self-esteem and confidence.

A 12 hour course, spread over 6 weekly 2 hour session.

Relaxation, building up self esteem and self management all help towards people's wellbeing.
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) describes a number of therapies that all have a similar approach to solving problems - these can range from sleeping difficulties or relationship problems to drug and alcohol abuse or anxiety and depression. CBT works by changing people's attitudes and their behaviour. The therapies focus on the thoughts images beliefs and attitudes that we hold (our cognitive processes) and how this relates to the way we behave as a way of dealing with emotional problems.
Self care is personal health maintenance. It is any activity of an individual, family or community, with the intention of improving or restoring health, or treating or preventing disease.
A group of people who are available to support one another emotionally, socially, and sometimes financially.
Empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic strength of individuals and communities. It often involves the empowered developing confidence in their own capacities.
