Heywood Rotary

Newest Club in the District, Heywood 2020 was chartered on 6th March 2020. Not long after the Global Pandemic began and Lockdown was imminent. Club meeting thereafter was via Zoom, we spent our Lockdown in the community, delivering food to the vunerable, medicine to the self-isolators, various food drops, some of our members worked and volunteered for the NHS while one started a Scrub Hub to help where they can. We ran competitions for the children at Easter and awarded Service Above Self certicates, all while support our local community with donations.

The Club is made up of all sorts of members, men and women, a vast range of ages and attributes. We all contribute in whatever way they are able too, no pressure, just for fun.

As we emerge out of the lockdowns and life starts to get back to normal, we are back face to face, back in the community, attending events and social occasions.
